Boxing's lightweight division has featured some talented stars, from Devin Haney to Teofimo Lopez. Frank Martin is ready to prove he deserves mentioning with the best out there when he faces Artem Harutyunyan on July 15. 

The fight, a WBC lightweight title eliminator, airs on Showtime. It will be inside The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

A 2016 Golden Gloves gold medalist, Martin turned pro in 2017. "The Ghost," 28, has 17 wins via knockout and is ranked within the top 10 across all sanctioning bodies (outside the IBF). His last bout was an impressive unanimous decision win against Michel Rivera in December.

There’s a great energy in our gym, and I’m ready to show everybody what I’ve been working on. I know he’s undefeated too, and coming in there to try and upset me, but we’ll be prepared for whatever he brings. I’m ready to make a statement. I’m definitely not looking past Harutyunyan, but I’m ready for the best fighters, and this performance will show everyone how ready I am.”

A bronze medalist in the 2016 Olympics, Harutyunyan, turned pro in 2017. "The Original" has seven wins via knockout and has held local WBC gold before. The German last fought in June 2022, beating Humberto Galindo via unanimous decision.
