Jai Opetaia is set to make his first defence of the IBF cruiserweight title when he faces Jordan Thomson on September 30, live on DAZN (excluding Australia and New Zealand).

Opetaia (22-0 17 KOs) claimed the IBF crown thanks to a victory over Mairis Briedis in July 2022, the last time the Australian fighter was in the ring. Now he puts the strap on the line against Thompson (15-0, 12 KOs), last seen in action in a TKO victory over Luke Watkins in April.

Opetaia vs. Thompson isn't the only world title fight on the card, as Ellie Scotney and Laura Soledad Griffa will face off for Scotney's IBF super-bantamweight title.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of Opetaia vs. Thompson.
