The grudge match was rescheduled to take place on Saturday, July 1, after Smith requested a delay to recover from a minor hand injury, but he didn't make enough progress, and the clash was suspended.
The initial tie produced a shock result as 'Beefy' dominated from the outset and knocked Eubank Jr out in round four.
Few people saw the fight playing out how it did and now the two will run it back in Manchester.
Here's everything you need to know about Smith vs. Eubank Jr 2.
Date: Saturday, September 2.
The undercard will get underway from 6pm while the main event ring walks can be expected from 10pm. It will take place at the Manchester Arena.
Smith believes he proved he was a better fighter than Eubank Jr by winning the first fight between the rivals.
He told 'The Gloves Are Off': "[It was] good to just prove Chris wrong. You can't beat me how I beat you."
However, Eubank insisted that their past is not going to impact how this rematch is going to go.
"It's part of the game," he said. "It's part of growing as a fighter.
"Nobody's perfect and now we get to do it again. To make sure that we really know who the better fighter is.
"There's still a lot of questions that need to be answered. What happens when these two men get into a dogfight and they're trading?
"No flash knockdowns. No jabbing competition. What happens when it gets saucy?"
Smith then replied: "You going to come for a fight this time?"
"How damaging to your ego and pride is being stopped the way you were stopped and dropped?"
Before Eubank looked to dim down his opponent's confidence.
"When a man celebrates the way he celebrated, hugging and crying and 'Oh my God,' he was not expecting for that to happen," he said.
"That's how I know he doesn't really believe he's a better fighter than me.
"When I beat him in the rematch, you're not even really going to see me smile."
