WBC world super featherweight champion O'Shaquie Foster will face a tough test in the first defence of his world title when he travels to Mexico to face Eduardo Hernandez.
Foster is no stranger to facing Mexican opponents after beating Rey Vargas in February to land the vacant WBC 130lb title, and he will now look to do the same come October 28.
Hernandez however is a dangerous threat. He will be relishing the opportunity to challenge for a world title on home turf and comes into this fight on a ferocious run of form with six back-to-back knockout wins.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of Foster vs. Hernandez.
The fight night will begin on Saturday, October 28 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. The fight will be held at the Poliforum Benito Juarez in Cancun, Mexico.
O'Shaquie Foster:
“It's that time again!” said Foster. “King Shock is back in action. I'm excited for the opportunity to be back in the ring and defend my title.
“We're once again going into uncharted territory, so I'm eager to prove once again that I'm the best in the world and that I'm here to stay! Come October 28, I will dominate!”
Eduardo Hernandez:
“I've dreamed about this moment my whole life,” said Hernandez. “O’Shaquie is the best 130lbs champion. I beat him, and I show the world that I'm the best in the division.”
