Rolando Romero remains confident that his powerful punches will do the talking on March 30. At T-Mobile Arena, he will face Isaac Cruz to defend his WBA light welterweight title. The duo’s bout headlines the co-main event of the Tim Tszyu–Keith Thurman main card event. It is the first PBC pay-per-view show to come up on Amazon Prime after their December 2023 tie-up.
At the opposite end, Isaac Cruz doesn’t seem too perturbed by the challenge he faces during his light welterweight debut. As the second-only boxer who took Gervonta Davis (now Abdul Wahid) the whole distance, ‘Pitbull’ confidently anticipates a reversal of fortunes against ‘Rollie’.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of Romero vs. Cruz.
The main card gets underway at 8 p.m. ET / 1 a.m. UK (Sunday).
Rolly Romero:
He said, “I mean, sure, you want to come at me and get cracked, and I mean, that’s good. I mean, like, I say he could do all that…but I’m a big boy, and I’m the hardest hitter he’s ever been in the ring with or he’s ever going to be in the ring with because I’m the hardest hitter at my weight class, so I feel like that.”
Isaac Cruz:
“No, I don’t care one bit. I just do my own thing, and you know what? He has never fought against someone as aggressive as I am either,” said Pitbull.
